Kote-e or plastered pictures by Izuno Chouhachi

The main hall of Hashido Inari Shrine, dozo 土蔵 style-rare one in the temple and shrine architectures, is a tangible culture property registered in Adachi Tokyo. On the insides of the double doors, kote-e or plastered pictures had been sculptured by Izuno Chouhachi. The pictures are a couple of white fox, with a male fox on the right door and a female fox holding a child on the left door, and another child and rice stalk described behind. It is a masterpiece how technique of the master craftsman Chouhachi is splendid, such as the benevolent look of the mother fox looking at the child and appearance of the graceful white fox.
