Stained glass windows at the Hatoyama Hall and by Sanchi Ogawa 小川三知 (1867-1928). His father, a medical doctor in Shizuoka, expected him to become a doctor also. However, he had loved arts so much that he entered the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music to study Japanese-style paintings. He went to United States when he was 31 years old to study western arts, especially the stained glass. After returning to Japan in 1911, he had produced many works of stained glass which were profoundly affected not only by the style of art-nouveau and art-deco but also by Japanese-style paintings.
Though many works of him have been damaged by the Great Kanto Earthquake and the air-raids of World War, we can see some nowadays.
